Main project features: The Egyptian Naval Forces commissioned Hill International to develop a vision masterplan for a new Economic City & Commercial Port in Matrouh, Ehypt. The site has a water front that extends to 23 km and its area is 170km2. The masterplan includes tourism resorts, an educational district, a wellness and health services distruct, agroindustries, a multipurpose port, a touristic marina, a financial district and a residential community.




Activities performed: Leading the team to develop the masterplan and engage with the client, project partners and stakeholders to agree on the development vision, phasing, priority projects and the pilot project. Assembling and leading the project partners. Full suite of project and team management, as well as technical leadership, with focus on linking the coastal development with the national and regional urban development strategies. Assessment of information from the GIS and advice on climate change considerations for these areas. Review and quality assurance of other team members’ outputs. Client and stakeholder coordination and meeting conduction.
